It is done! We have a new house with tons of possibilities to become a stunning house. It is by far the most expensive thing we’ve ever owned and the work we need to do is intimidatingly large. But there is a great joy in bringing beauty into the world, which is what we will be doing with this house.

I know that there are a lot of people who think realtors are as useful to buyers as barnacles are to ships, but that has not been our experience. We’ve had wonderful realtors. Our latest puts the rest to shame. She and her team have done so much to make this process easier on us, to save us money and grief, and to make it possible to buy a house across the country. Writing has taken a back seat in the last few weeks as we worked to get this deal through, packed, fixed, and cleaned our old house to make it ready for sale, and generally focused on other things. Nonetheless we managed to do the edits for the gaming project we are doing for Steve Jackson Games. Much thanks to our play testers and reviewers for your help!

The summer will be spent supervising work on the new house and selling the old house, but in between there should be time to write. It’s a new adventure!
