It’s been a while since I’ve checked in so I thought I’d do a quick update. I finished the edits and formatting of Secret Project #2. I have about six sentences to add and I need to complete the timeline for the back of the book. I expect to finish that tonight. After that I’ll need to create the index and do the graphics. In less than two weeks it goes to the publisher. It’s a nice looking supplement filled with lots of good information. I think the publisher will be pleased.
I signed up for a romance challenge with two friends to produce a story or a chapter of a romance each month. That starts in July, which is right around the corner. In addition, I’ll resume work on my collection of Thule stories so that I can get those into the editor. And I’m back on the hook to produce something SFF-related for my critique group each week. I’m looking forward to the excitement and variety.
This long period of self-isolation has finally allowed me to create a schedule that’s working for me. Basically I’m focused on work from 11am to 6pm Tuesday through Sunday. I also work after Steve goes to bed (10pm to about midnight). I take Mondays off. So if you are trying to figure out if I’m available for a phone call or intense text discussion, know that mornings before 11am or evenings after 6pm are best.
I hope your June has been productive and filled with love and joy. Be well, friends!

Wow those are pretty varied genres you have on your plate there. I myself do SFF, but have also been thinking about trying my hand in other genres once I’m done with my current WIP. You look like you’re having fun!
They are varied. I did a 52 week challenge that ended in May to write a short story a week. Through doing it I found that there were some genres that spoke to me. I was completely surprised to realize that I like writing steamy romances. Though it may just be the times. Stories that have a guaranteed happy ending are a pleasant distraction from the world as it is.
I encourage you to try short stories in a variety of genres. You may find something you love that surprises you. Good luck with your current WIP.
