It’s been a whirlwind for the last two months but we are finally unpacked and settled in our new house and we’ve sold our old one. It’s been a surprising amount of work but the end result is worth it. We love our new home and new neighborhood and we will get to travel to Memphis and continue to see our old friends and work there as well. It’s all win.

We got an incredible deal on the house we bought, especially in this market, but the reason for the deal is that the house is strange and requires a fair amount of work. The next one to three years will be taken up with renovation and repair. At the end of the process we expect we will have our dream house in our dream neighborhood in our dream state.

Writing has taken a back seat the last few months and we both need to re-establish a writing routine. Steve has been doing fantastic and has a new book deal from Routledge and one of his adventures will be Chaosium’s convention scenario at GenCon. I produced the deck plans and maps for the project, so it’s part mine as well.

I’m currently working on a few projects: a short romantic story, a Space Opera novel with a hint of spirituality, and a romance. I’m also scribbling down some ideas for the next Thule book. As I work myself back into writing I’m dividing my time between those projects. I also have a map and a cover to produce for Steve’s latest Call of Cthulhu adventure.

I’ve been learning Illustrator and I will be doing a WMG romance intensive in September. I am reading books to prep for it. So far I love most of the books, which is a great sign for writing these stories! I’m also trying to re-learn Spanish now that I’m living in a state where that is an important language. Though I’m a pretty lazy language learner so far.

The main task for me is to get my writing speed and quantity back up and learn how to write while traveling part of each month. It should be interesting. I suspect that the answer to this will be strict scheduling. I’ll let you know what I discover.

I hope things have been going well for you. My plan going forward is to try to produce a blog post about twice a week.

Be well, friends!
