NaNoWriMo 2019 – Day 24

Short blog post today because I have to complete and send a short story to Dean, clean the house (if what I do can be termed “cleaning”), prepare food, and game with company today. I’m stacked and behind.

Yesterday I didn’t get as much done as I wanted. I went to the Memphis Writers meeting which took away from my writing time but I received some valuable advice on making first person POV work. Since the first person story I’m writing is beating my butt, it was worth the time spent learning from fellow writers.

I received my second Honorable Mention from Writers of the Future for my “Lightning and Shadow” story, which is the continuation of Magnihild’s adventures started in “Lightning Scarred.” I take this as validation for the Thule stories.

Speaking of the Thule stories, “Lightning Scarred” is as complete as I can make it. It is available in BookFunnel for the supporters of the Micronomicon Kickstarter. In January, after the Kickstarter supporters receive their copy, I’ll put it up for sale.

I continue to accumulate words in NaNoWriMo, but I’m nowhere near where I want to be. Still, it is doable. I need about 14,000 words by November 30. I can do that.
