I am officially behind in NaNoWriMo since I took off Monday and didn’t do enough to recover my momentum yesterday. That’s ok since today is another day. I’ll write on my own for part of the morning and then I’m hosting another write-in in the afternoon. If I get 3000 words today I’ll be ahead of the game.
If you’re around and want to drop in for inspiring sprints, fabulous prizes, and great people, we’ll be at the Germantown Panera from 1pm to 4pm today. If you need a write-in, but mornings and afternoons aren’t your thing, the Main Library is hosting write-ins Wednesday nights starting at 5:30. You never need to write alone today.
Yesterday I worked on the numerology short story which took a surprising erotic turn. When numerology, gaming, and sex demons collide, watch out!
I remain troubled by the novel and woke up several times last night with my creative self pitching new stories and new titles as potential NaNoWriMo novels to replace Argosy. My favorite from last night is Djinn Biz, a genie who travels by magic carpet is out to hoard wishes. Not sure what that means, but it is different. Argosy seems plodding and ordinary by comparison. Perhaps I just need to kitbash the ideas to create something wild and new for the Argosy novel.
