Dean Wesley Smith has been challenging himself to write in public every single day since September 1, 2013 and he has basically made that happen by reporting at the end of each day what he has managed to do. There is often a bit more in each daily post but it doesn’t look like a burdensome level of writing. His most recent post, which he did exhausted from travel and work, was just 134 words. I could do that even on a bad day.
I am taking up the baton! I shall try a 90-day challenge of writing in public. Each day I will report how much (if any) of the following I have accomplished:
Writing in Public blog streak… Day 1
— Short Fiction: 1491 new words.
— Novel-Length fiction: 00 new words.
— Blog Posts: 153 new words.
— Editorial Work: 00 new words.
— Year of Short Fiction Goal: 3 short stories finished and sent out by year end.
— Novel Goal: 1 complete novel by year end.
