Apparently Dean Wesley Smith’s blog is actually called Writing In Public rather than that being the name of the challenge he was doing. I am embarrassed. I didn’t mean to copy his name, just his challenge of being open about what is going on with my writing in public on a daily blog. So I am officially changing the name of this challenge to Written Confessions, but I am keeping the daily total. The challenge is the same, only the name has changed.
I worked on my primary novel today, but the word count doesn’t really represent the work that went into it today. I combed through chapter 5 and improved it. I also added some words. I worked on the secondary novel, adding a scene at an Empathy Market to the secondary novel. I wrote this both for the secondary novel and for the Thursday night exercise for the Memphis Writers group. I’m trying to make any writing exercises I do count for many things.

I’ve been sick yesterday and today and ate fewer vegetables both days. I will be better tomorrow. Even with that, I’ve avoided the bad stuff, so I am counting that as a victory.
